Website delivery and Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, to host and deliver this website and protect it against abuse. This involves processing technical request data, including IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and response status. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure website.
Technical statistics
Cloudflare provides traffic and operational statistics, such as request counts, data volume, countries, errors and cache usage. We use these to understand website operation and availability, on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This website does not currently integrate advertising trackers, Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. We do not use these statistics for personalised advertising.
International processing
Cloudflare operates a global network, so processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA. Cloudflare describes the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses as transfer mechanisms in its published privacy and data-processing terms. You can consult those terms using the links below or request further information from us.
Contact by email and IONOS
Our contact button opens your email application. If you write to info@smartloaf.com, we process your email address, name if provided, message and any attachments to handle your enquiry. Email is provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Strasse 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany; our domain is also registered through IONOS. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries concerning a contract with you, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries, including contact on behalf of a business. Our legitimate interest is responding to enquiries and maintaining business contacts. Supplying this information is voluntary; without the necessary details we may be unable to respond.
Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. For technical data, the criteria are delivery of the service, investigation of errors and security incidents, and the applicable provider retention settings. Correspondence is deleted when the enquiry is resolved and no further business purpose, legal claim or statutory retention duty requires it. Where a legal retention duty applies, processing is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Cookies and website features
Our website code does not set cookies or use local storage for language selection. Language choices are links to separate pages. Fonts and images are served with the website. There is no contact form, customer account or newsletter registration on this site. See the cookie policy for further information.
